The UCLA 性别的健康 Program supports a number of research study opportunities.

Before we can study how effective testosterone treatments are in meeting patients' gender transition goals, we need to understand patients' goals and expectations for treatment. 这项调查是我们实现这一目标的第一步. In addition to paving the way for effectiveness studies, we hope this information will help us understand how to improve treatment by asking better questions and understanding the variety of outcomes people seek.

UCLA Fellowship in Genital Gender-Affirming Surgery

This one-year fellowship focuses on all aspects of the diagnostic and therapeutic management of patients with gender dysphoria seeking gender-affirming genital surgery. This is a clinical fellowship with opportunity for research in clinical or population studies. The fellow will practice with faculty primarily at UCLA Urology’s Burbank and Westwood clinics and operate in UCLA’s main Westwood medical center. 除了临床责任, the fellow will participate in the multi-disciplinary team of specialists that comprises the UCLA 性别的健康 Program. 完成奖学金后, the fellow will be suited to pursue a career in either academic 泌尿外科 or the private sector with a focus on gender-affirming genital surgery. The UCLA Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is delighted to offer a one-year fellowship focused on Facial Gender-Affirming Surgery. The fellowship is the first of its kind in the world and will primarily emphasize gender-affirming facial reconstruction encompassing an understanding of craniofacial surgical principles, 骨骼的关系, orthognathic手术, 面部美学原则, but also include chest and genital reconstruction.
